Jessica L. Bryan M.S., CCC-SLP, President & Founder
Ms. Bryan is a licensed speech-language pathologist practicing for over a decade, working in clinic and residential facilities throughout New York City for organizations including the Shield Institute, Catholic Charities Neighborhood Services, CP Unlimited and Independent Living Association. She’s also created partnerships as an independent contractor with Birch Family Services and Urban Resources Institute. She has worked with the intellectually and developmentally disabled for most of her career, creating goals to maximize her clients potential and improve their quality of life. In addition, she is an educator, training employees and family members on mandated preventative initiatives related to Dysphagia and strategies for support continuity. She also worked in the home care sector, helping adults reach their rehabilitation goals related to speech and swallowing. Ms. Bryan’s ability to maximize her capacity as a leader rests upon her years of experience, tenacity and ingenuity. Feed Life is a dream to fruition, an organization focused on two essential initiatives: food security and swallowing disorders.
Patricia Bryan-Rodgers, Vice President
Mrs. Patricia Bryan-Rodgers is a dedicated wife, mother, and entrepreneur managing a private venue. As Vice President of Feed Life, she is committed to inspiring healthier living through facilitating the communities access to nutritious foods and education about natural antidotes as supplemental self-care. She also has over 20 years of customer service experience, which brings a wealth of expertise in building public relations and leadership to the organization, driving Feed Life’s mission to become a trusted resource and cornerstone in the community.
Tamara Rowe, Treasurer
Ms. Rowe spent the past 18 years dedicated to improving the lives of others. While earning an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, she worked with people diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Her coursework provided her with a greater understanding about the issues affecting her clients, and in turn developing her advocacy for the rights of the vulnerable. Her first role in the nonprofit sector was as a direct support professional where she provided essential care and helped individual’s attain their goals. While continuing her work with people with disabilities, Ms. Rowe elevated to the role of an assistant supervisor in 2016. She quickly acclimated and honed her leadership skills, ensuring quality care and providing guidance to frontline employees. Since 2023, she serves as a community service supervisor at Heavens Hands. She’s cultivated a reputation for being a compassionate, hands-on leader who fosters a culture of respect and empowerment. She’s been instrumental in implementing successful programs, in addition to demonstrating the ability to collaborate with other community organizations to expand support and services for her program participants.
Ms. Rowe’s career has created a path of both rewarding and humbling work, enabling a more holistic approach to care. Her work for the underserved is a lifelong dedication to advocacy.
Lauren Green, Secretary
With over a decade of experience in the human services field, Ms. Green began her career as a direct support professional at HeartShare Human Services of New York, where she provided hands-on support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Her dedication and passion for helping others led to her professional growth and advancement to the position of a quality assurance review specialist. In this role, she audited group homes, ensuring compliance with agency policies, procedures, and state regulations to maintain the highest standards of care. Her experience spans across several respected organizations, including Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, QSAC, General Human Outreach (GHO) and CP Unlimited, where she further refined her skills in program management and client advocacy. Beyond her professional work, she continues her service by volunteering at the New York Cares food bank. She is enthusiastic to be a part of the Feed Life team, where she will continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families, furthering her mission of support, empowerment, and community development.
